Ingredients:
- 4 sleeves (approx. 16 oz / 450g) Saltine crackers
- 1 cup (240ml) Canola or Vegetable oil
- 1 oz (28g) Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing Mix
- 1/2 cup (60g) Real bacon bits, finely minced
- 1 tsp (2g) Red pepper flakes
- 1/2 tsp (1.5g) Garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp (1.5g) Onion powder
- 1/4 tsp (0.75g) Dried dill weed
Instructions:
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the canola oil, ranch dressing mix, garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill, and red pepper flakes. Stir in the finely minced bacon bits until well distributed.
- Place all four sleeves of saltine crackers into a large 2-gallon Ziploc bag. Pour the oil and seasoning mixture over the crackers. Seal the bag with plenty of air inside and gently tumble and rotate the bag until every cracker is evenly coated. Let the crackers rest in the bag for 2 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C). Spread the seasoned crackers in a single layer across one or two large rimmed baking sheets. Bake for 20 minutes, flipping or tossing the crackers halfway through the cook time until they achieve a matte finish.
