Ingredients:
- 1 package (25 oz) frozen cheese ravioli (700 g)
- 2 cups marinara sauce (480 ml)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (120 g)
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (50 g)
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (2 g)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large pot of salted boiling water, gently add the frozen cheese ravioli and cook for about 3-5 minutes, just until they begin to soften. Drain and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine marinara sauce, dried Italian herbs, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
- In the baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom. Layer half of the ravioli over the sauce. Add half of the remaining marinara sauce over the ravioli. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the sauce. Repeat the layering process with the remaining ravioli, sauce, and cheese.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil (if desired) and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Allow the casserole to cool for 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.
