  • 3/4 cup (150 g) granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup (165 g) packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons (10 mL) pure vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups (281 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon (6 g) baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 g) salt
  • 2 cups (340 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, along with the vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula.
  7. Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to portion out dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack to cool completely.
