Ingredients:
- 1 cup (226 g) unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup (150 g) granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup (165 g) packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons (10 mL) pure vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups (281 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon (6 g) baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 g) salt
- 2 cups (340 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, along with the vanilla extract until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula.
- Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to portion out dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set.
- Allow cookies to cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack to cool completely.
