Ingredients:
- 1 cup (230g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 1 cup (220g) packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups (360g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (175g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup (100g) chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture.
- Stir in the chocolate chips and walnuts (if using) until evenly distributed.
- Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop batter onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until edges are golden but the centers are soft.
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
