Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1 cup (220g) packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups (360g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  3. Cream the butter and sugars together in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, followed by the vanilla extract.
  5. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  6. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  7. Scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing the cookies about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown, and the centers still appear slightly soft.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
