- 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 1 cup (220g) packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups (360g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Cream the butter and sugars together in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, followed by the vanilla extract.
- Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing the cookies about 2 inches apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown, and the centers still appear slightly soft.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
