Ingredients:
- 4 (6 oz or 170g each) salmon fillets, skin-on or skinless
- 1/4 cup (60ml) honey
- 1/4 cup (60ml) soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon (2g) freshly grated ginger (optional)
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Chopped green onions, for garnish
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, and olive oil in a mixing bowl.
- Season salmon fillets with salt and pepper, placing them skin-side down in a baking dish.
- Pour the honey garlic mixture over the salmon, ensuring they are well-coated.
- Let marinate for 15 minutes at room temperature (or up to 1 hour in the fridge).
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and is cooked through.
- Optional: Broil for an additional 2-3 minutes for a caramelized glaze.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
