Ingredients:
- 12 oz fettuccine or penne pasta
- Salt (for water)
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Season chicken breasts with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove chicken from skillet. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Slice cooked chicken and return to the skillet. Add the drained pasta to the sauce and toss to combine.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
