Ingredients:

  • 1 large box of green gelatin (e.g., lime flavor, approximately 6 oz)
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • Assorted gummy dinosaurs (about 1 cup)
  • Whipped cream or whipped topping for garnish (optional, about 1 cup)

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, dissolve the green gelatin powder in the boiling water. Stir well until completely dissolved.
  2. Once dissolved, add the cold water to the mixture and stir again to combine.
  3. (Optional) Pour an equal amount of the gelatin mixture into each of your serving cups or small clear glasses, filling them about halfway.
  4. Place the filled cups in the refrigerator and chill for about an hour, or until slightly set but still jiggly.
  5. After one hour, carefully place assorted gummy dinosaurs on top of each partially set gelatin layer. Ensure they are distributed evenly among all cups.
  6. Gently pour more of the remaining gelatin mixture over the gummies in each cup until filled to near top.
  7. Return to refrigerator and let fully set for at least another three hours or until firm.
  8. When ready to serve, optionally top with a dollop of whipped cream before presenting your dino jello cups!
