Ingredients:

  • ½ cup (45g) rolled oats (not instant)
  • 1 cup (240ml) milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) chia seeds (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon (7g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon (16g) natural peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) maple syrup or honey
  • ½ teaspoon (2.5ml) vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional Toppings: Chopped peanuts, chocolate chips, peanut butter drizzle, banana slices

Instructions:

  1. In a jar or container, add rolled oats, milk, chia seeds (if using), cocoa powder, peanut butter, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt.
  2. Stir or whisk thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined and no cocoa powder clumps remain.
  3. Cover the container tightly with a lid and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, or preferably overnight.
  4. In the morning, give the oats a good stir. If they are too thick, add a splash more milk to reach your desired consistency.
  5. Top with your favorite toppings like chopped peanuts, chocolate chips, a drizzle of peanut butter, or banana slices (optional).
  6. Serve and enjoy your delicious, ready-to-go breakfast!
