Ingredients:
- ½ cup (45g) rolled oats (not instant)
- 1 cup (240ml) milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) chia seeds (optional)
- 1 tablespoon (7g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon (16g) natural peanut butter
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) maple syrup or honey
- ½ teaspoon (2.5ml) vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Optional Toppings: Chopped peanuts, chocolate chips, peanut butter drizzle, banana slices
Instructions:
- In a jar or container, add rolled oats, milk, chia seeds (if using), cocoa powder, peanut butter, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Stir or whisk thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined and no cocoa powder clumps remain.
- Cover the container tightly with a lid and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, or preferably overnight.
- In the morning, give the oats a good stir. If they are too thick, add a splash more milk to reach your desired consistency.
- Top with your favorite toppings like chopped peanuts, chocolate chips, a drizzle of peanut butter, or banana slices (optional).
