Ingredients:

  • 4 cups water
  • 4 black tea bags (or 4 teaspoons loose black tea)
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cups cold water
  • Lemon slices (for garnish)
  • Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Boil 4 cups of water in a saucepan.
  2. Remove from heat and add tea bags (or loose tea).
  3. Steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on desired strength.
  4. Remove tea bags and let cool (or strain if using loose tea).
  5. In a separate pitcher, combine 1 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice with 1 cup of granulated sugar.
  6. Stir until sugar is fully dissolved.
  7. Add 4 cups of cold water to the lemon mixture; mix well.
  8. In a large pitcher, combine the cooled tea with the lemonade.
  9. Stir well to mix.
  10. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
  11. Pour over ice and garnish with lemon slices and mint leaves, if desired.
