Ingredients:
- 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup (165g) packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/4 cups (280g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon (6g) baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon (3g) salt
- 2 cups (340g) semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing just until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips evenly using a spatula or wooden spoon.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a prepared baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
