Ingredients:
- 2 oz white rum
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- 2 tsp superfine sugar
- 8 fresh mint leaves
- 3 oz chilled club soda
- 1 cup crushed ice
Instructions:
- Place the mint leaves, sugar, and lime juice in the bottom of a highball glass. Using a muddler, press down gently 3-4 times to release aromatic oils without shredding the leaves.
- Pour in the white rum and stir briefly with a bar spoon to ensure the sugar is fully dissolved.
- Fill the glass 3/4 full with crushed ice and top with chilled club soda.
- Use a long spoon to gently lift the mint leaves from the bottom toward the top of the glass to distribute flavor. Top with additional ice and a slapped mint sprig for aroma.
