Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pound ground beef (450 g)
  • 2 hotdogs, sliced diagonally
  • 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce (425 g)
  • 1/2 cup banana ketchup (120 ml)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 pound spaghetti (450 g)
  • Water for boiling
  • Salt for seasoning water
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese (e.g., Cheddar, 60 g)
  • Sliced hard-boiled eggs
  • Chopped parsley or green onions

Instructions:

  1. Fill a large pot with water, add a generous pinch of salt, and bring to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Sauté chopped onion until translucent.
  3. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Add ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon, and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in sliced hotdogs and cook until heated through.
  5. Add tomato sauce, banana ketchup, soy sauce, and sugar. Mix well. Simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Toss cooked spaghetti in the sauce until well coated. Heat through if necessary.
  7. Garnish with grated cheese, sliced hard-boiled eggs, and chopped herbs.
