Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450 g) ground pork sausage (fresh)
- 2 tsp (10 g) finely chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tsp (5 g) garlic powder
- 1 tsp (5 g) onion powder
- 1/2 tsp (2 g) black pepper
- 1/2 tsp (2 g) smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp (1 g) red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) vegetable oil (or olive oil)
- Fresh herbs for garnish (e.g., parsley or chives), optional
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork sausage, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes. Mix well until evenly combined.
- Shape the mixture into 8 equal links (each about 2-3 inches long).
- Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the oil and allow it to heat until shimmering.
- Place the sausage links in the skillet. Sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they develop a golden-brown crust.
- Use a meat thermometer to check that the internal temperature of the links reaches 160°F (71°C). If not, continue cooking, turning occasionally, until done.
- Remove links from the skillet and let rest for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired, then serve hot.
