Ingredients:

  • 12 oz fettuccine or your pasta of choice
  • Salt (for pasta water)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Boil water in a large pot and add salt. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté the chopped onion until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic, cooking for another minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in heavy cream and broth, bringing to a gentle simmer. Add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, cooking for 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Stir in frozen peas and grated Parmesan cheese. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until peas are heated through.
  5. Add cooked pasta to the sauce, tossing to coat evenly. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
  6. Plate the pasta, garnishing with fresh parsley. Enjoy immediately!
