Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Open the crescent roll tube. Unroll the dough onto the prepared sheet. Press the perforations gently together to form one large, contiguous rectangle or rough circle (like a pizza base).
- In a small bowl, thoroughly whisk together the granulated sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
- Brush the entire surface of the dough evenly with the melted butter.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the buttered dough. Gently pat down to help it adhere.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until the edges are deeply golden brown and the centre is cooked through and slightly crisp.
- Remove from the oven and let cool on the sheet for about 5 minutes.
- If using the glaze, whisk together powdered sugar, vanilla, and 2 tablespoons of milk/cream. Add remaining liquid drop by drop until you reach a smooth, drizzly consistency.
- Drizzle the glaze haphazardly over the warm pizza. Cut into squares or wedges immediately and serve warm.
