Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 30 oz pizza sauce (two 15 oz jars)
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices, sliced in half
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 8 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 8 sandwich rolls

Instructions:

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain the excess fat and transfer the beef to the bottom of a slow cooker.
  2. Stir in the pizza sauce and halved pepperoni slices, mixing well to combine. Cover and cook on low for 3 hours, allowing the flavors to meld.
  3. After 3 hours, sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top of the meat mixture. Cover and continue cooking for another 30 minutes, or until the cheese has melted.
  4. Spoon the hot pizza beef mixture onto sandwich rolls. Top each with a slice of mozzarella cheese and serve warm.
