Ingredients:
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 30 oz pizza sauce (two 15 oz jars)
- 1/2 cup pepperoni slices, sliced in half
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 8 slices mozzarella cheese
- 8 sandwich rolls
Instructions:
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain the excess fat and transfer the beef to the bottom of a slow cooker.
- Stir in the pizza sauce and halved pepperoni slices, mixing well to combine. Cover and cook on low for 3 hours, allowing the flavors to meld.
- After 3 hours, sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top of the meat mixture. Cover and continue cooking for another 30 minutes, or until the cheese has melted.
- Spoon the hot pizza beef mixture onto sandwich rolls. Top each with a slice of mozzarella cheese and serve warm.
