Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe avocados (about 400g total)
  • 1/2 cup (50g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) pure maple syrup (or agave nectar)
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • A pinch of sea salt
  • Fresh berries (optional for garnish)
  • Chopped nuts (optional for garnish)
  • Whipped coconut cream (optional for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into the blender.
  2. Add cocoa powder, almond milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt to the blender.
  3. Process until the mixture is completely smooth, stopping to scrape down the sides if necessary.
  4. Taste the mousse and adjust sweetness by adding more maple syrup if desired. Blend again to combine.
  5. Spoon the mousse into serving bowls and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes for extra creaminess.
  6. Top with fresh berries, chopped nuts, or whipped coconut cream, and enjoy!
