Ingredients:
- 2 ripe avocados (about 400g total)
- 1/2 cup (50g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup (120ml) unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
- 1/4 cup (60ml) pure maple syrup (or agave nectar)
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- A pinch of sea salt
- Fresh berries (optional for garnish)
- Chopped nuts (optional for garnish)
- Whipped coconut cream (optional for garnish)
Instructions:
- Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into the blender.
- Add cocoa powder, almond milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt to the blender.
- Process until the mixture is completely smooth, stopping to scrape down the sides if necessary.
- Taste the mousse and adjust sweetness by adding more maple syrup if desired. Blend again to combine.
- Spoon the mousse into serving bowls and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes for extra creaminess.
- Top with fresh berries, chopped nuts, or whipped coconut cream, and enjoy!
