Ingredients:
- 12 large pretzel rods (340g)
- 12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips (340g)
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil (15ml)
- ¼ cup crushed nuts (e.g., almonds, peanuts) (30g)
- ¼ cup sprinkles (30g)
- ¼ cup crushed peppermint candy (30g)
Instructions:
- Prepare your workspace: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Melt chocolate: In a heatproof bowl, combine chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Alternatively, use a double boiler.
- Dip pretzel rods: Hold a pretzel rod by one end and dip it into the melted chocolate, coating about 2/3 of the rod. Shake off excess chocolate.
- Add toppings: While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle desired toppings over the coated area or roll the pretzel rod in toppings.
- Chill: Place the coated pretzel rods on the parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for 30 minutes until the chocolate is set.
- Serve: Once chocolate has hardened, enjoy your delicious chocolate-covered pretzel rods or package them as gifts!
