Ingredients:
- 40 mini or traditional pretzels (about 6 ounces / 170 grams)
- 8 ounces (227 grams) high-quality chocolate (semi-sweet, milk, or dark chocolate chips or chopped bars)
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped nuts (optional)
- 2 tablespoons rainbow or chocolate sprinkles (optional)
- 1 teaspoon sea salt flakes (optional)
- 2 tablespoons shredded coconut (optional)
Instructions:
- Prepare your workstation by lining a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Arrange pretzels in a single layer for easy dipping.
- Melt the chocolate. For microwave method, place chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth. For double boiler, set a heatproof bowl over simmering water and stir chocolate until melted.
- Dip each pretzel halfway or fully into the melted chocolate using a fork or dipping tool. Tap fork gently on the side of the bowl to remove excess chocolate.
- Immediately sprinkle dipped pretzels with your choice of nuts, sprinkles, sea salt, or coconut before the chocolate sets.
- Place dipped pretzels on the prepared baking sheet and leave them to set at room temperature for 20-30 minutes or chill in the fridge for 10-15 minutes.
- Once chocolate is firm, serve the chocolate covered pretzels or store in an airtight container at room temperature or in the fridge for up to 1 week.
