Ingredients:

  • 40 mini or traditional pretzels (about 6 ounces / 170 grams)
  • 8 ounces (227 grams) high-quality chocolate (semi-sweet, milk, or dark chocolate chips or chopped bars)
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped nuts (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons rainbow or chocolate sprinkles (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons shredded coconut (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare your workstation by lining a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Arrange pretzels in a single layer for easy dipping.
  2. Melt the chocolate. For microwave method, place chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth. For double boiler, set a heatproof bowl over simmering water and stir chocolate until melted.
  3. Dip each pretzel halfway or fully into the melted chocolate using a fork or dipping tool. Tap fork gently on the side of the bowl to remove excess chocolate.
  4. Immediately sprinkle dipped pretzels with your choice of nuts, sprinkles, sea salt, or coconut before the chocolate sets.
  5. Place dipped pretzels on the prepared baking sheet and leave them to set at room temperature for 20-30 minutes or chill in the fridge for 10-15 minutes.
  6. Once chocolate is firm, serve the chocolate covered pretzels or store in an airtight container at room temperature or in the fridge for up to 1 week.
