Ingredients:

  • ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream
  • 1 cup (170g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter, stirring occasionally.
  2. Once the butter is melted, whisk in the granulated sugar and heavy cream until well combined.
  3. Increase the heat to medium and bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and continue to stir until fully melted and smooth.
  5. Remove from heat and whisk in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
  6. Pour the hot fudge sauce into a heatproof jar or bowl and serve warm. If not using immediately, allow to cool and store in the refrigerator.
