Ingredients:

  • 2 cups heavy cream (480ml)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (60g)
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract (5ml)

Instructions:

  1. Chill your mixing bowl: Place the mixing bowl in the refrigerator for about 10-15 minutes before you start to ensure the cream whips well.
  2. Add the ingredients: Pour the heavy cream into the chilled bowl, then add powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
  3. Start whipping: Using an electric mixer on medium speed, or a whisk with some elbow grease, whip the cream until soft peaks form.
  4. Stiffen the cream: Increase the mixer speed to high and continue whipping until firm peaks form.
  5. Taste test and adjust: If you prefer sweeter whipped cream, add more powdered sugar to taste.
  6. Serve or store: Either use immediately or transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 2 days.
