Ingredients:
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- ½ cup (100g) brown sugar, packed
- ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup (30g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ cup (60g) powdered sugar
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, beat the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and softened butter until creamy.
- Mix in eggs, one at a time, and add vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture until fully blended.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes.
- Scoop tablespoons of dough and roll into balls, then roll each ball in powdered sugar until well coated.
- Place the cookie balls on the baking sheet, spaced apart, and bake for 10-12 minutes until slightly puffed.
- Allow cookies to cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
