Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • ½ cup (100g) brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup (30g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ cup (60g) powdered sugar

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, beat the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and softened butter until creamy.
  3. Mix in eggs, one at a time, and add vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture until fully blended.
  6. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes.
  7. Scoop tablespoons of dough and roll into balls, then roll each ball in powdered sugar until well coated.
  8. Place the cookie balls on the baking sheet, spaced apart, and bake for 10-12 minutes until slightly puffed.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
