Ingredients:

  • 2.5 oz (75 ml) London dry gin
  • 0.5 oz (15 ml) dry vermouth
  • 0.5 oz (15 ml) olive brine
  • 2-3 green olives

Instructions:

  1. Fill a martini glass with ice water to chill while preparing the martini.
  2. Using a jigger, measure and pour the gin, vermouth, and olive brine into a cocktail shaker or mixing glass.
  3. Fill the shaker or mixing glass with ice until about three-quarters full.
  4. Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds or stir gently with a bar spoon for 30 seconds if preferred.
  5. Discard the ice water from the chilled martini glass.
  6. Strain the mixture into the prepared martini glass.
  7. Skewer 2-3 olives on a cocktail pick and place them in the glass as garnish.
