Ingredients:

  • 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil or vegetable shortening
  • 1 pint of your favorite ice cream (vanilla, chocolate, mint, etc.)
  • Optional toppings: crushed nuts, sprinkles, or flaky sea salt

Instructions:

  1. Scoop ice cream into uniform balls or shapes and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Freeze for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  2. In a small bowl, combine chopped chocolate and coconut oil. Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  3. Remove ice cream scoops from the freezer. Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each ice cream scoop into the melted chocolate. Allow excess chocolate to drip off.
  4. Sprinkle crushed nuts, sprinkles, or flaky sea salt over the chocolate before it sets.
  5. Return the dipped ice cream to the freezer for at least 10 minutes to set the chocolate.
