Instructions:
- Grind tea leaves to a fine powder, if necessary.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and ground Earl Grey tea.
- In another bowl, beat softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually incorporate the dry mixture into the wet mixture until a dough forms.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Roll out the dough or scoop into balls and place on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
- Mix powdered sugar, milk (or water), and vanilla until smooth, then drizzle over cooled cookies if using glaze.
- Allow cookies to cool completely before serving.
