Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Sweetened Condensed Milk (full-fat)
  • 1/4 cup Whole Milk or Half-and-Half
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon Fine Sea Salt
  • 8–10 cups Clean, Freshly Fallen Snow (loosely packed)

Instructions:

  1. Chill the Equipment: Place your large mixing bowl in the freezer for at least 15 minutes. This ensures the maximum lifespan for your snow once mixed.
  2. Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, whole milk (or half-and-half), vanilla extract, and salt until completely uniform. Set aside.
  3. Gather the Snow: Immediately before mixing, venture out and gather 8–10 cups of clean, fluffy snow. Ensure the snow is taken from a pristine location. Place the snow into a designated clean container and bring it inside immediately. Do not allow the snow to sit and compact.
  4. Introduce the Snow: Working swiftly, transfer the chilled bowl from the freezer. Dump approximately 6 cups of the gathered snow into the bowl.
  5. Pour and Mix: Immediately pour the prepared liquid base mixture over the snow.
  6. Fold Rapidly: Using a spatula or spoon, quickly fold the snow into the liquid base. Use a lifting and turning motion rather than vigorous whisking, which can break down the snow crystals too quickly.
  7. Adjust Consistency: Continue folding, adding the remaining 2–4 cups of snow gradually, until the mixture achieves the consistency of soft-serve Snow Ice Cream or a very thick milkshake. The final product should hold its shape slightly but remain fluffy.
  8. Serve Immediately: Scoop the Snow Ice Cream into chilled bowls or cones and serve without delay.
