Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit until frothy (about 5 minutes).
  2. Mix in melted butter, salt, and egg.
  3. Gradually add flour until a dough forms.
  4. Lightly flour a surface, knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise in a warm place until doubled (around 30-45 minutes).
  6. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar and cinnamon.
  7. Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
  8. Spread softened butter over the dough and sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly.
  9. Roll the dough tightly into a log, slice into 12 even pieces.
  10. Place in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  11. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  12. Bake rolls for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  13. In a bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  14. Drizzle icing over warm rolls and enjoy!
