Ingredients:
- 4 cups (500g) all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons (10g) salt
- 1 tablespoon (12g) sugar
- 2 ¼ teaspoons (7g) instant yeast
- 1 ½ cups (360ml) warm milk (110°F or 43°C)
- 3 tablespoons (42g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
Instructions:
- Combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar in a bowl. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour and salt.
- Add melted butter and egg to the yeast mixture and stir to combine.
- Gradually add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough, divide it into 12 equal pieces, and shape each piece into a roll.
- Arrange rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake rolls for 20 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!
