Ingredients:
- 1 cup (240 ml) warm water (about 110°F/43°C)
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) sugar
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cups (360 g) all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons (10 g) salt
- 2 1/4 teaspoons (7 g) bread machine yeast (or 1 packet)
Instructions:
- Ensure the bread pan and kneading blade are clean and properly assembled.
- Pour warm water into the bread pan. Add sugar and softened butter, stirring gently if necessary.
- Carefully add the flour over the wet ingredients, ensuring it covers the water entirely. Sprinkle salt and yeast on top of the flour without stirring.
- Choose the 'Basic' or 'White Bread' setting on your bread maker and set the desired crust preference.
- Close the lid and start the machine. Keep an eye on the dough during the first few minutes of kneading to ensure it forms a smooth ball.
- When the baking cycle is complete, carefully remove the bread from the pan and allow it to cool on a wire rack before slicing.
