Ingredients:
- 8 oz (227 g) sushi-grade tuna, diced
- 1 ripe avocado, diced
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) sriracha (optional, for heat)
- 1/4 cup (15 g) green onions, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon (15 g) sesame seeds, toasted
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Tortilla chips or cucumber slices (for scooping)
- Microgreens or cilantro (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Ensure tuna is sushi-grade and properly chilled. Dice tuna into small, uniform pieces. Dice avocado and place it in a separate bowl to avoid browning.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, lime juice, and sriracha (if using).
- Gently fold the diced tuna into the dressing, being careful not to mash it. Add chopped green onions, sesame seeds, and diced avocado to the tuna mixture.
- Cover and refrigerate the mixture for 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
- Serve chilled, garnished with microgreens or cilantro, alongside tortilla chips or cucumber slices.
