Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (240ml) whole milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Vegetable oil (enough for frying, approximately 4 cups or 1 liter)
  • 12 Oreo cookies
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)
  • Chocolate sauce (for drizzling)

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Whisk in milk, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. In a frying pan, heat vegetable oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  4. Dip each Oreo cookie into the batter
  5. Carefully place the battered Oreos in the hot oil.
  6. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown, using a slotted spoon to turn them.
  7. Remove the fried Oreos and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  8. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar and drizzle with chocolate sauce before serving.
