Ingredients:
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 16 oz processed cheese product, cubed
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened and cubed
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes and green chiles, undrained
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
Instructions:
- Place the skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with your spatula, until the meat is deeply browned and no longer pink.
- Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Drain any excess grease to prevent an oily dip.
- Pour in the entire can of diced tomatoes and green chiles, including the juices. Simmer for 3–5 minutes until the liquid reduces slightly and the tomatoes are softened.
- Reduce heat to medium-low. Add the cubed processed cheese and cream cheese.
- Stir constantly in a circular motion until the cheese is completely incorporated and the sauce is glossy and smooth.
- Remove from heat immediately once melted to avoid scorching and garnish with chopped fresh cilantro.
