Ingredients:
- 1 cup (2 sticks or 227g) unsalted butter, softened
- 4-6 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh chives, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped (optional)
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Roast garlic in a small roasting pan until soft and fragrant. Cool and squeeze out the roasted garlic.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic (or roasted garlic), parsley, chives, rosemary (if using), thyme (if using), salt, pepper, and lemon juice (if using).
- Using a rubber spatula or wooden spoon, mix all ingredients until well combined. The mixture should be homogenous and the herbs evenly distributed throughout the butter.
- Transfer the garlic herb butter to a sheet of plastic wrap or parchment paper. Shape it into a log or disc. Wrap tightly and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Serve the garlic herb butter at room temperature or slightly chilled. Slice as needed.
