Ingredients:
- 1 cup (225 g) unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1 cup (200 g) brown sugar, packed
- ½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups (360 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 cups (340 g) chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar; beat until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in the vanilla extract until combined.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture; mix until just combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Cover the dough and chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
- Using a cookie scoop, drop large balls of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are golden.
- Remove from the oven and let cool on the sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
