Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef (80% lean)
- 1 tsp (5 g) onion powder
- 1 tsp (5 g) garlic powder
- 1 tsp (5 g) salt
- 1/2 tsp (2 g) black pepper
- 1 tsp (5 g) Worcestershire sauce
- 4 hamburger buns
- Lettuce leaves
- 1 large tomato, sliced
- 1 cup (100 g) shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
- Ketchup and mustard (to taste)
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently until just combined.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions (about 5.5 oz each) and shape each portion into a patty about 3/4-inch thick.
- Cover the patties with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm up.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 375-400°F/190-200°C).
- Lightly oil the grill grates and place the patties on the grill. Grill for 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for 4-6 minutes.
- In the last minute of cooking, add cheese on top of the patties and close the grill lid to allow it to melt.
- Toast the hamburger buns on the grill if desired. Place each patty on a bun and top with lettuce, tomato, and condiments.
