Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe bananas (about 10 oz / 280 g, mashed)
  • ½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter, melted
  • ¾ cup (150 g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon (5 g) baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon (3 g) salt
  • 1½ cups (190 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup (170 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease the loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  3. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  4. Stir in melted butter until well incorporated. Add sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together baking soda, salt, and flour.
  6. Gradually add dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined (avoid overmixing).
  7. Gently fold in chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  9. Bake for 50–60 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  10. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
