Ingredients:
- 3 ripe bananas (about 10 oz / 280 g, mashed)
- ½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter, melted
- ¾ cup (150 g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon (5 g) baking soda
- ½ teaspoon (3 g) salt
- 1½ cups (190 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 cup (170 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease the loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
- Stir in melted butter until well incorporated. Add sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together baking soda, salt, and flour.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined (avoid overmixing).
- Gently fold in chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
