Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 6 thick slices sourdough bread
- 1/2 cup (50g) freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
- In a small mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, and salt. Use a fork to cream the ingredients together until the garlic is evenly distributed and the mixture looks pale and aerated.
- Arrange the bread slices in a single layer on a large rimmed baking sheet. Spread the garlic butter generously from edge to edge, ensuring the crusts are covered to prevent over-charring.
- Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the buttered surface of each slice.
- Adjust the oven rack to the top position (4–5 inches from the heat source) and turn the broiler to High. Slide the tray in and monitor closely for 2–4 minutes until the butter bubbles and the edges turn a deep golden mahogany.
- Remove from the oven immediately once the center is golden and the cheese is blistered. Let the toast rest for 1 minute before serving.
