Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) honey
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) olive oil
- 8 ounces (225g) Halloumi cheese, sliced into ½-inch (1.25cm) thick pieces
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, lemon juice, red pepper flakes (if using), and olive oil until well combined.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- Place the halloumi slices in the hot pan, ensuring they aren't overcrowded. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and slightly softened.
- Pour the honey glaze over the halloumi slices in the pan. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, turning the halloumi to ensure it's evenly coated and the glaze is slightly caramelised. Watch closely to prevent burning!
- Remove the Honey Glazed Hallomui from the pan and serve immediately.
