Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cups Vidalia onions, finely diced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

  1. Melt the butter in a sauté pan over medium heat. Add the diced onions and salt, stirring frequently for 8–10 minutes until translucent and golden honey hued.
  2. In a 9-inch oven-safe skillet or mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, and Parmesan cheese.
  3. Fold the sautéed onions and cracked black pepper into the cream cheese mixture, stirring until uniform and creamy.
  4. Fold in half of the shredded Swiss cheese, then sprinkle the remaining Swiss cheese over the top.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20–25 minutes until the edges are bubbling and the center has a mahogany-colored crust.
  6. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley before serving.
