Ingredients:
- 4 quarts water
- 1 (3-ounce) package crab boil seasoning
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning blend
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 2 lemons, quartered
- 1 large onion, quartered
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound small red potatoes, halved
- 2 ears corn, shucked and cut into thirds
- 1 pound smoked sausage, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 pound snow crab legs (optional)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions:
- Fill a large pot with water. Add crab boil seasoning, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper (if using), lemon quarters, onion, and garlic. Bring to a rolling boil.
- While the water is heating, divide the potatoes, corn, and sausage evenly among the 4 boil bags.
- Carefully place the bags into the boiling water. Reduce heat to medium and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Remove the bags from the boiling water. Add the shrimp and crab legs (if using) to each bag. Drizzle with melted butter.
- Securely tie each bag shut, leaving room for steam expansion. Return the bags to the pot of boiling water. Cook for another 5-7 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque, and the crab is heated through.
- Carefully remove the bags from the pot using tongs. Cut open the bags with kitchen shears (be careful of hot steam!). Pour the contents of each bag onto a platter or individual plates. Garnish with fresh parsley.
