Ingredients:
- 2 cups (300g) raw almonds
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt (optional)
- 1-2 tablespoons (15-30ml) honey or maple syrup (optional)
Instructions:
- Measure out 2 cups of raw almonds. If desired, roast them for 10 minutes at 350°F (175°C) to enhance flavor.
- Place the almonds in the food processor. Blend until the nuts are ground into a fine meal, scraping down the sides as necessary.
- Blend for an additional 5-10 minutes or until the almond meal becomes creamy, stopping to scrape down the sides to ensure even blending.
- Once creamy, add sea salt and honey or maple syrup if using. Blend again until fully incorporated.
- Transfer the almond butter to a clean, airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
