Ingredients:

  • 2 cups (300g) raw almonds
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt (optional)
  • 1-2 tablespoons (15-30ml) honey or maple syrup (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Measure out 2 cups of raw almonds. If desired, roast them for 10 minutes at 350°F (175°C) to enhance flavor.
  2. Place the almonds in the food processor. Blend until the nuts are ground into a fine meal, scraping down the sides as necessary.
  3. Blend for an additional 5-10 minutes or until the almond meal becomes creamy, stopping to scrape down the sides to ensure even blending.
  4. Once creamy, add sea salt and honey or maple syrup if using. Blend again until fully incorporated.
  5. Transfer the almond butter to a clean, airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
