Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup milk
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting
  • Chocolate sauce or caramel sauce, for drizzling
  • Fresh berries (strawberries or blueberries)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the waffle maker according to the manufacturers instructions.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine melted butter, eggs, vanilla, and milk; mix until smooth.
  4. Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
  5. Spray the waffle maker with non-stick cooking spray.
  6. Pour an appropriate amount of batter onto the waffle maker, enough to cover but not overflow the edges.
  7. Close the lid and cook until golden brown (about 3-5 minutes).
  8. Carefully remove the waffle cookie from the maker and place it on a cooling rack.
  9. Repeat until all batter is cooked.
  10. Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with chocolate/caramel sauce. Optionally, top with fresh berries.
