Ingredients:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 can (113g) mild diced green chiles, undrained
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions:
- Place the softened cream cheese in a saucepan over low medium heat. Stir constantly with a spatula until the texture is smooth and lump free.
- Fold in the undrained canned green chiles, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Stir for 2-3 mins until the mixture is aromatic and pale green.
- Lower the heat to the lowest setting.
- Add the shredded Monterey Jack cheese one handful at a time. Stir continuously until fully melted and glossy.
- Remove the pan from the heat.
- Fold in the sour cream. Stir until the dip is velvety, thick, and holds a soft peak.
