Ingredients:

  • 2.5 lbs beef chuck roast, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 oz Lipton Onion Soup Mix (1 packet)
  • 0.87 oz brown gravy mix (1 packet)
  • 1 cup low sodium beef broth

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and ensure the oven rack is in the center position.
  2. Trim any excessively large pieces of hard white fat from the beef chuck roast and cut into 1-inch cubes.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, onion soup mix, and brown gravy mix until well combined.
  4. Place the beef cubes into a 9x13 inch baking dish or a heavy Dutch oven.
  5. Pour the gravy mixture over the beef, using a spatula to ensure the meat is evenly coated.
  6. Seal the dish tightly with heavy-duty aluminum foil to create a double barrier, ensuring no steam can escape.
  7. Place in the oven and bake for exactly 3 hours. Do not open the oven door or remove the foil during the cooking process.
