Ingredients:
- 3 cups (360g) All-purpose flour
- 2 1/4 teaspoons (7g) Instant (rapid-rise) yeast
- 1 tablespoon (12g) Granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon (6g) Salt
- 1 1/2 cups (360ml) Warm water (about 110°F/43°C)
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) Olive oil, plus more for greasing
- 4 tablespoons (56g) Unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 cup (50g) Grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup (50g) Shredded Mozzarella cheese
- Fresh parsley (optional), chopped
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, combine flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Add warm water and olive oil. Stir until a shaggy dough forms.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a clean tea towel. Let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Gently deflate the dough. Turn it out onto a lightly floured surface. Divide the dough into 12-16 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a long, thin rope. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning.
- Brush the breadsticks with the garlic butter. Sprinkle evenly with Parmesan and mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly. Watch carefully to prevent burning.
- Let cool slightly on the baking sheet before transferring to a serving platter. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.
