Ingredients:

  • 4 bratwurst sausages (about 1/4 pound each, approx. 450 g total)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 medium onion, sliced (approx. 150 g)
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced (any color, approx. 150 g)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  3. In a bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt. Rub the mixture over the bratwursts evenly.
  4. Place the seasoned brats on the baking sheet and scatter sliced onion and bell peppers around them.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Flip the brats halfway through for even cooking.
  6. Cook until brats are browned and have an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C) or until juices run clear.
  7. Let brats rest for 2 minutes, then serve hot with your favorite buns and toppings.
