- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon fine salt
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
- 1/3 cup chocolate chips or raisins
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
- Mash bananas in a medium bowl with a fork until mostly smooth with small lumps.
- Stir melted butter into the mashed bananas. Add sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
- Whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in a separate bowl.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Fold in optional add-ins like walnuts, chocolate chips, or raisins if desired.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top; bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely.
