- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup whole milk
- 1 package (3 oz) flavored Jello (e.g., strawberry, raspberry, or lime)
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup cold water
- 1 cup whipped cream (or Cool Whip)
- Optional: Sprinkles for garnish
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add melted butter, eggs, vanilla, and milk; mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely (about 30 minutes).
- In a mixing bowl, dissolve Jello in boiling water. Stir in cold water; set aside.
- Using a toothpick or skewer, poke holes all over the top of the cooled cake.

- Cut into squares and serve chilled.
