Ingredients:
- 2 cups Augason Farms Roll Mix
- 1 cup Warm Water (110°F/43°C)
- 2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil
- 1 tablespoon Honey or Sugar
- 1 packet Active Dry Yeast (2¼ teaspoons)
- ½ teaspoon Salt
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, combine warm water with honey (or sugar) and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5–10 minutes until foamy. This indicates that the yeast is activated.
- In a large mixing bowl, add the Augason Farms Roll Mix and salt. Stir gently to incorporate the salt evenly.
- Create a well in the center of your dry ingredients and pour in the yeast mixture along with vegetable oil. Using a wooden spoon or spatula, mix until it forms a sticky dough.
- Transfer dough onto a lightly floured surface. Knead for about 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic. If you have a stand mixer with a dough hook attachment, you can knead on low speed for about five minutes instead.
- Form dough into a ball and place it in an oiled bowl, covering it with plastic wrap or a damp towel. Let it rise in a warm area for approximately 30–40 minutes or until doubled in size.
- Once risen, punch down the dough to release air bubbles. Divide into twelve equal pieces (about golf-ball size). Shape each piece into round rolls by tucking edges underneath to create tension on top.
- Place shaped rolls on greased baking sheet or lined tray
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Once preheated, bake rolls for about 15–20 minutes until golden brown on top.
- Remove from oven; allow them to cool slightly before serving warm as desired!
